Chris primarily represents insurers in respect of cyber security, data breaches, and privacy matters. He has worked on hundreds of data breach incidents of all sizes and types, ranging from individual SME matters to some of the largest incidents reported. Chris also advises insurers in respect of technology and media risks, including intellectual property, software implementation, and advertising litigation. He has prior experience counseling insurers regarding general liability, professional liability, and miscellaneous errors and omissions risks. He holds both an M.B.A. and a J.D. (cum laude) from Washington University in St. Louis, from which he graduated in 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (cum laude) from the University of Southern California in 2006.
Chris is licensed to practice before all California state and federal district courts. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He also is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), and Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF).
