William S. Berman
Bill provides insurance companies with advice on complex coverage issues involving first party incidents, business interruption loss, and third party claims submitted under technology, media, and privacy insurance policies. For over two decades, Bill has represented insurance companies addressing claims throughout the United States arising from policies insuring directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, architects and engineers liability, commercial general liability, protective and pollution liability, excess/umbrella liability, and specialized risks including media and technology liability.
Bill regularly consults with insurance companies concerning their rights, obligations and duties arising from insurance contracts, and he assists insurance companies with drafting of insurance contracts.
Bill also represents insurance companies in litigation seeking declaratory judgment, rescission, and recoupment/reimbursement in addition to defending against bad faith and extra-contractual claims. He received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and his Bachelors of Arts from the University of California, Davis.
